Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Electrophysiology (EP) Lab
 

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Facility: Wesley Medical Center
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The EP RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, and cardiac device implantations. The ideal candidate will have prior EP Lab experience, excellent cardiac assessment skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and the procedural team in a fast-paced environment.
 

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures.
• Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for EP studies, cardiac ablations, and device implantations.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures, including cardiac rhythm, hemodynamic status, and sedation.
• Assist electrophysiologists during cardiac ablations, pacemaker insertions, and implantable cardiac device procedures.
• Administer medications, moderate sedation, and emergency medications as ordered.
• Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and procedural complications.
• Monitor patients during post-procedure recovery and provide discharge education.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Mac Lab and Meditech EMR systems.
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiovascular technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Electrophysiology (EP) Lab RN experience.
• Prior experience with cardiac ablations and cardiac device implantations is required.
• Active Kansas RN License.
• Travel experience preferred.

• 50-mile local radius rule – local candidates are not accepted.
• Unit: 1 procedure room with a dedicated EP team.
• EMR: Mac Lab / Meditech.
• Candidate should be a team player, adaptable, and comfortable working in a high-acuity procedural environment.
