Cardiac Sonographer

Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40
Shift Information: Monday through Friday from 8A-5P
Clinical Interviewing- Yes/No: No
On Call, Call Back Requirements: None
Weekend Rotation: EOW
Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
Floating Requirements: Yes, satellite sites managed within Wake Region

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Cardiac Diagnostics, advanced – TTE, TEE, Stress Echo, Dobutamine Stress Echo studies,
Chemotherapy Evaluations
Transplant Evaluations
 

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
ACLS (preferred)

Cardiac Sonographer: BLS; RCS, RDCS, Client (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer 

through CCI) – only (1) of these is required
 

Skills required:
TTE/Stress Echo
Required:
TTE complete with color and doppler
Ultrasound Enhancement Agents (UEA – Definity/Optison)
Advanced imaging in accordance with ASE/IAC Echo including, but not limited to:
LV Global Strain
3D
HOCM
Agitated Saline Contrast studies
Preferred: Stress echo and Dobutamine Stress echo studies
Support within the Department:
Dedicated Cardiac Ultrasound Educator and Chief Sonographer
