Requirements

  • NYS Licensure as a Pathologists’ Assistant
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a Pathologists’ Assistant program
    • OR equivalent program as determined by the New York State Education Department
    • OR Bachelor’s or higher degree from a NAACLS‑accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program
  • 0–3 years of related experience in Pathology (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fellow, American Association of Pathologists’ Assistants (AAPA)
  • ASCP Certification
  • Strong familiarity with grossing procedures, specimen handling, and workflow efficiency in a pathology lab setting
