Schedule: Every other weekend, 2 on-call shifts, and holiday commitment required

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care in a high-acuity Level I Trauma and teaching hospital. The RT will primarily care for adult patients in the Critical Care Units and Emergency Department, managing complex ventilator cases and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have extensive critical care experience and be comfortable with advanced ventilator strategies and on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist License
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Must be available to take on-call shifts
Required Experience
- Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department
- Level I Trauma Center experience
- Teaching Hospital experience
- Experience in a 400+ bed hospital
- Strong background in:
- Trauma ICU
- Neuro ICU
- Medical ICU
- Cardiac ICU
- Surgical ICU
Advanced Clinical Skills
- Advanced mechanical ventilation management
- Esophageal balloon monitoring
- Pressure-volume (PV) loop interpretation
- Driving pressure assessment
- Best PEEP maneuver optimization
Equipment & EMR
- EPIC EMR
- Hamilton G5, C6, T1, MR1 ventilators
- Philips EV300
