CVOR Surgical | | Richmond, VA

Position

Schedule

Regular Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Call Required
- Weekday call begins at 3:00 PM
- Weekend call: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (rotating)

Required Certification

✔️ BLS

Must-Have Experience

Candidates must be proficient in scrubbing complex cardiovascular surgical procedures, including:

CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
Valve repair and replacement
Repair of aortic dissections
Cardiopulmonary bypass cases
Thoracic surgery
Open thoracotomy
VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery)
ECMO initiation
Pericardial window procedures

Advanced Skills Preferred

Strong CVOR scrubbing experience
Excellent sterile technique
Familiarity with cardiac instrumentation
Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during complex cardiac procedures
Comfortable taking call

Call Requirements

Weekday call after scheduled shift
Rotating weekend call (Friday–Sunday)
Must be available for emergency cardiovascular surgeries
