Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg
• Location: Kirksville, Missouri
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), weekends required
• Hours per week: 36
• Call: Call required, no standing call; may be placed on call up to 48 hours per contract
• Floating: Required, primarily to med-surg unit; may float to other units within competencies
• Patient Assignment: Up to 10 inpatient rehab (Swing) patients; may absorb med-surg patients if swing volume drops
• Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 10 swing patients
• EMR System: MedHost
• Uniform: Any solid color scrub

Role Summary

• Provide nursing care for inpatient rehab (Swing) patients who require less nurse-intensive care than traditional med-surg patients
• Support med-surg patients as needed when swing bed volume is low
• Floating to other units for task assignments within existing competencies

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
• Experience in a Rehabilitation setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
