Position: Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Medical Weight Loss
Location: Belleville, IL 62221

Start date: 07/08/2026
Shift Details:

  • Employment Types: Full-time (32–36 hours/week), Part-time (8–16 hours/week), PRN, and Temporary
  • Schedule:
    • Monday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Thursday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Two Saturdays per month: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Meal Break: 30-minute unpaid meal break
  • Flexible scheduling available; full-time providers may travel between clinic locations as needed.

Pay Rate: $58.76 per hour

Contract duration: Permanent

Summary:

Join a patient-focused medical weight loss clinic as a Nurse Practitioner providing comprehensive, non-surgical weight management services. In this permanent outpatient role, you'll develop individualized treatment plans, educate patients on healthy lifestyle changes, prescribe appropriate therapies, and build long-term relationships that support lasting health improvements. This position offers flexible scheduling with full-time, part-time, PRN, and temporary opportunities in a collaborative clinical environment.

Job Duties:

  • Evaluate patients and develop individualized medical weight loss treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments within scope of practice.
  • Provide education and counseling on nutrition, healthy lifestyle habits, and weight management.
  • Build long-term relationships with patients to support sustained health improvements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while promoting a positive patient experience.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN/RN-to-MSN pathway).
  • Active Nurse Practitioner license in Illinois.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in:
    • Patient advocacy
    • Health promotion
    • Interprofessional collaboration
    • Treatment planning
    • Medication management
    • Clinical diagnosis
  • Previous experience in weight management, primary care, family medicine, or a related specialty preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient counseling skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of chronic disease management, health education, patient assessment, and preventive care preferred.
