  • Administer local anesthesia under direct dentist supervision
  • Perform scaling, root planing, sealant application, and desensitization procedures
  • Record medical/dental histories; administer caries prevention agents; instruct patients in home care therapy
  • Develop patient treatment plans and provide appropriate referrals
  • Document all services in EHR and Dentrix systems (training provided)
  • Comply with HIPAA, AAAHC, CMS, and IHS standards

  • Ability to pass federal criminal history background check and fingerprinting
  • Negative TB screening within the last 365 days
  • ISSA training certificate of completion prior to start
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn Dentrix EHR
  • U.S. citizen or meeting applicable federal requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience working with Native American patients or in IHS/tribal healthcare settings
  • Experience serving patients of all ages including pediatric and geriatric populations
  • Prior service at White Earth Service Unit
