Description
We're seeking an experienced Travel MRI Technologist for an exciting outpatient float opportunity in the Charleston, SC area. This position offers a consistent schedule, no call, and the chance to work in both a fixed-site and mobile MRI setting.
Position Details
- Specialty: MRI Technologist (Float)
- Setting: Outpatient Clinic
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift Options:
- Preferred: Monday–Friday, 5x8s (12:30 PM–9:00 PM)
- Also considering:
- 4x10s (10:30 AM–9:00 PM)
- 3x12s (8:30 AM–9:00 PM)
- Call: None
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel up to 1 shift every 2 weeks
Float Requirements
- Work primarily at the West Ashley outpatient location.
- Float to the North Charleston location 1–2 times per week as a Mobile MRI Technologist.
Weekend Schedule
- Occasional Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM).
- On Saturday workweeks, you'll work four 8-hour weekday shifts plus Saturday for a total of 40 hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations following established imaging protocols.
- Provide exceptional patient care while ensuring accurate image acquisition.
- Conduct a variety of MRI studies, including:
- General MRI
- Breast MRI
- Cardiac MRI
- Elastography
- Defecography
- Imaging for patients with implants
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- First-time travelers welcome
- BLS Certification
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification
- South Carolina state license not required
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment
- Radiation badge required (must be provided by agency)
Preferred Experience
- Epic EMR
- Sectra PACS
