Description
Cath Lab RN – Short Unit Note
6-suite Cath Lab; ~4–20 cases/day (1:1 staffing).
Must have BLS, ACLS, strong ECG rhythm interpretation, and occasional drip titration experience.
Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, HF, congenital heart disease, TAVR, MitraClip, and peripheral vascular cases.
Uses Epic, GE/Philips monitors, and McKesson.
4×9-hour shifts with frequent call: 6–8 call shifts/month, rotating weekends, and holiday call.
Teams consist of 1 RN + 2 RT(R)s (regular cases); 4-person team for call cases.
No routine floating (may assist IR if experienced).
Hospital-provided scrubs; 2–3 shift department orientation.
