🔥 ELITE CVOR RN CONTRACT – PREMIUM BEACHSIDE FACILITY – SANTA MONICA

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) in beautiful, beachside Santa Monica, California. This premium position features stable 8-hour day shifts and an exceptional California compensation package. Because the dedicated cardiac program is highly specialized, this role offers a unique hybrid structure, blending TAVR procedures with cross-coverage inside the Main OR during lower-volume cardiac weeks.

Please note: This facility enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for first-time travel nurses.

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

Weekly Gross: $3,160.00
Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $2,200.00
Hourly W2 Rate: $24.00/hr
Overtime Rate: $36.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (06:00 AM - 14:30 PM). Monday–Friday framework.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly (Facility reserves the right to call off only once per two-week pay period).
Flexible Rotational On-Call: Required call shifts vary based on department dynamics across a 6-week cycle:
- Weekday Call: 2 primary weekday call blocks (22:30–06:00) + 2 secondary weekday call blocks (22:30–06:00).
- Weekend Call: 2 primary weekend call blocks (12-hour shifts; 06:30–19:00 or 18:30–06:00, Sat/Sun or both) + 2 secondary weekend call blocks (12-hour shifts).
Weekend Shift Requirement: Up to 2 shifts per month.
EMR & Charting System: Epic.
Clinical Scope & Pacing: Small, highly focused cardiac program. Averages 3 TAVR procedures per week (performed on standby in the Cath Lab).
Hybrid Main OR Flow: When cardiac caseloads are clear, the CVOR RN will seamlessly rotate and be assigned to general surgical cases in the Main OR.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated acute care OR experience is required. Proven experience across General, Ortho, Spine, or Surgical Robotics is highly preferred to support Main OR cross-assignments.
Travel Mandate: Prior travel contract experience is strictly required. First-time travelers will not be considered.
Licensure: Active California State RN License must be verified and in hand at submission (no pending licenses accepted).
Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS (BCLS) and ACLS are required.
Fire Safety Mandate: Must possess or acquire an active LA Fire Card within 30 days of starting.
Core Skills: Comprehensive competency tracking cell saver usage, universal protocols, blood product administration, and surgical safety across CABG, Atrial Septal defect repairs, and Mitral valve replacements.

📍 Local Candidates Fully Approved: This contract features a flexible Locals Accepted policy for clinicians living within a 50-mile radius of the Santa Monica facility, though local profiles are subject to a lower firm base bill rate. 🔄 Statewide Floating Mandate: In compliance with regional network policies, ALL travel contractors are expected to float between all system facilities within the state as needed. A refusal to float will result in immediate assignment termination and forfeiture of guaranteed hours. 🏖️ Strict RTO & Holiday Commitments: Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront. Requests exceeding 7 days will heavily delay your file review. Contractors must commit to working at least 3 out of 5 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). 📋 Mandatory Pre-Submission System History Quest: Submissions MUST include an explicit response to the following question from the candidate: "Have you ever worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem? If yes, please include location and dates worked." Former staff are eligible to return after 3 months. 🔍 Background Disclosure Policy: Candidates must fully disclose all historical license or criminal background hits upfront at the exact time of submittal. Open or unvetted license tracking hits will not be approved by compliance. 💻 Pre-Start Onboarding Modules: Travelers must complete approximately 16 hours of unbilled facility modules pre-start via Workramp transcripts. 🚗 Parking Accommodation Costs: Facility parking hang-tags are available for $10.00, key-cards for $35.00, with an ongoing deduction of $38 per pay period at the hospital or $16 per pay period for offsite parking at St. Anne's.
