⚡ URGENT L&D AUTO-OFFER CONTRACT – PRESTIGIOUS MAGNET® FACILITY – ORANGE, CA

 

First Connect Health has an immediate, direct-hire Auto-Offer opportunity for a highly seasoned Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) in Orange, CA. This is a high-volume, exceptionally high-risk obstetric environment handling complex clinical diagnoses across a 426-bed acute care facility. If you are an experienced travel nurse with an active California license looking to bypass long interview lines and secure an elite Southern California package, this position is built for you!

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,758.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,750.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $24.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $36.00/hr
  • Based on California daily structures: 24 Regular Hours + 12 Daily OT Hours weekly (3x12 Shifts).

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: 3x12-Hour shifts. (Please note: The general block reads Night shift 19:00–07:30, while the overview text specifies 07:00–19:30. Total flexibility across shifts is required to support critical unit needs).
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly (Facility reserves the right to call off only once per two-week pay period).
  • Weekend Coverage: Shared rotation; weekends may exceed every other to properly support unit pacing.
  • EMR Charting System: Epic.
  • Clinical Environment: Very high-risk unit managing comprehensive pregnancy diagnoses, including preterm labor, multiples, severe pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, fetal anomalies, diabetes, pyelonephritis, and IUFD.
  • Core Duties: Must be independently competent to perform sterile vaginal exams, circulate for C-sections, manage vaginal deliveries, and oversee high-risk antepartum triage.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated inpatient L&D experience is required. Experience in large acute care hospital settings is highly preferred.
  • Travel Mandate: Previous travel contract experience is strictly required. No first-time travelers will be considered under any circumstances (HARD STOP).
  • Licensure: Active California State RN License must be verified and in hand at submission.
  • Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate are required. Can accept an NCC EFM Certification in place of Intermediate AWHONN. AWHONN Advanced is highly preferred.
  • Fire Safety Mandate: Must possess or acquire an active LA Fire Card within 30 days of starting.

Traveling clinicians refusing to float face immediate termination and forfeiture of guaranteed hours. 🏝️ Strict RTO & Holiday Frameworks: All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront. Requests over 7 days will heavily delay your review. Contractors must commit to working at least 3 out of 5 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). 💼 Availability & Scheduling Exclusivity: Scheduling requests, accommodations, or shift restrictions due to outside secondary employment or PRN positions will not be reviewed or considered by the manager. 📋 Mandatory Pre-Submission System History Quest: Submissions MUST include an explicit response to the following question from the candidate: "Have you ever worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem? If yes, please include location and dates worked." Former staff are eligible to return after 3 months. 🔍 Background & Unbilled Modules: Open or unvetted license hits will not be approved. Selected candidates must self-complete approximately 16 hours of unbilled facility onboarding modules via Workramp transcripts pre-start.
