PREMIUM CVOR RN CONTRACT – 5x8 DAYS – STABLE SCHEDULE

 

We are seeking a highly experienced Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN for an immediate 13-week travel assignment. Operating within a highly specialized, advanced surgical environment, this position is tailored for elite nursing professionals fully capable of scrubbing and circulating complex open-heart cases completely independently. 📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (05:30 AM - 14:00 PM), Monday through Friday. No block scheduling.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours guaranteed weekly.
  • On-Call Requirements: Heavy call commitment required. Traveler will take call "1 week on / 1 week off" rotation, including weekend call coverage every other week.
  • EMR System: Cerner required.
  • Clinical Environment: Premier 447-bed short-term acute care Teaching Hospital operating within the prestigious BayCare Health System.
  • Surgical Scope & Procedures: Elite 1:1 patient ratios covering high-acuity tracks: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR), Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR), MitraClips, Pericardial Windows, Pacemakers, and Thoracic lung resections (Thoracotomy).

📋 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Hardstop Experience Rules: Minimum 2 years of consecutive clinical experience strictly in a dedicated Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). Must have documented, hands-on experience and the verified ability to manage complex heart valves and bypass cases independently. Previous Charge Nurse experience is required.
  • Vaccine Mandate: COVID-19 vaccination is required by the facility (Medical/Religious exemptions only).
  • Scrubs Mandate: Royal Blue scrubs required (facility provides or parking/facility details fully included).
  • Certifications Required: Verifiable Active AHA ACLS and BLS. Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure for the state of Florida (or compact equivalent).

All candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience and feel fully competent managing advanced CABG, TAVR, and MVR tracks independently alongside surgical staff. ⏱️ Recent Case Recency Requirement: To successfully pass the automated screening, your profile history must display active, dedicated cardiovascular surgical case experience within your recent acute care background. 📞 Comprehensive Call Expectations: This day-shift opening requires a rigorous call commitment, encompassing an alternating "1 week on / 1 week off" rotation schedule to support emergency operational needs. 🎓 Certified Body Flexibility: Clinical leadership will eagerly accept local or travel clinicians holding active Florida or Compact state nursing licenses, provided the nurse holds the requisite 2 years of CVOR experience and strong Cerner charting skills.
