🔥 HIGH-COMPENSATION IR TECH CONTRACT – PROGRESSIVE 4x10 DAY SCHEDULE – TAMPA, FL

 

First Connect Health is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist for an immediate 13-week assignment in Tampa, Florida. This expansive 615-bed short-term acute care facility operates a high-volume Level II Trauma Center and a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. Managing a diverse tracking of 30–40 daily departmental cases across 4 advanced procedure rooms, this role provides premium daytime hours and elite travel compensation.

 

Please note: This facility enforces a rigid zero-RTO policy. First-time travel technologists are proudly accepted if they meet the core clinical benchmarks!

 

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,876.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,596.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $32.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $48.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours (07:30 AM - 18:00 PM). (Note: The general block schedule parameters read 07:30–00:30, while the specific unit overview locks in a standard 07:30–18:00 structure). No block scheduling available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours guaranteed weekly (Guaranteed hours apply following the first facility call-off per two-week pay period).
  • On-Call Requirements: Heavy rotational call required; averages 8 to 10 on-call days per month depending on core staffing counts. On-call actions require a strict 30-minute response time to arrive on-site. Dedicated on-call sleep rooms are fully provided by the facility.
  • Weekend Requirements: Yes, must support a minimum of 2 working weekends per month (this may scale up based on department needs), inclusive of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday call coverage plus 1 mandatory Saturday work shift per month.
  • Imaging Suites & Hardware: 4 procedure rooms, 3 featuring biplane arrays; system distribution includes 3 Siemens systems and 1 GE Innova IGS device.
  • Clinical Scope: High-acuity case mix covering stroke interventions, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy/thrombolysis, DVT interventions, advanced pain management, and extensive oncology procedures (including Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations, and radiofrequency ablations).
  • Hospital Floating: Clinicians float within scope to meet primary hospital staffing needs. No floating to external sister facilities is required.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of clinical IR experience, with proven, dedicated vascular experience strictly required. Independent mastery handling ablations, angiograms, nephorograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, upper/lower extremities, and stroke thrombectomies is required.
  • Licensure: Active Florida State Radiology Technologist License must be verified and in hand at the time of submission (pending licenses cannot be accepted).
  • Certifications Required: Active ARRT (R) or ARRT (VI), and active AHA BLS are required. ARRT Advanced Certification and ARRT (VI) are highly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiencies: Competency in Cerner EMR platforms (preferred), PACS networks, contrast delivery systems, and sterile biopsy assistance.
  • Vaccine Guideline: The COVID-19 Vaccine is required by facility guidelines (medical or religious exemptions are honored).
  • Dress Code: Solid Black or Navy Blue scrubs.

Local applicants residing under 100 miles are evaluated under separate local pay rules. 🚭 Strict Smoke-Free Facility Mandate: St. Joseph's Hospital operates as an absolute tobacco- and smoke-free medical campus. 🫀 Mandatory Pre-Start EKG Competency Exam: Prior to clearance for clinical orientation, traveling technologists must pass a rigorous pass/fail EKG rhythm identification exam on-site, with a maximum of three total attempts permitted. 💻 Pre-Onboarding Allied Modules: Selected technologists are required to complete up to 4 hours of pre-start facility compliance modules, which are fully billable under BayCare travel terms. 📋 Hard Pre-Submission Compliance Checklist: To bypass immediate system processing delays, your profile must include an active Florida license verification, an up-to-date resume showing vascular/IR depth, a completed allied skills checklist, an active ARRT copy, and a confirmed response clarifying any prior permanent or registry employment history within the BayCare system. All documents are due exactly 10 days before your scheduled start.
