🔥 HIGH-COMPENSATION GENERAL ULTRASOUND TECH CONTRACT – SONOMA COUNTY, CA

 

First Connect Health is seeking a highly skilled and versatile General Ultrasound Technologist for an immediate 13-week travel assignment in beautiful Petaluma, California. Operating within a progressive community hospital environment, this role handles an active multi-acuity caseload across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care lines. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,581.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,525.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $24.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $36.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours. Variable start times configured as either 06:30 AM or 11:00 AM based on departmental needs. No block scheduling available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Baseline guaranteed packages apply (Facility reserves the right to call off once per two-week pay period).
  • On-Call Requirements: Yes, rotational call required with opportunity for coverage during the night (noc) shifts.
  • EMR & Imaging Systems: Epic charting experience is highly preferred. Hardware tracking features GE scanning systems and PACS data architecture.
  • Comprehensive Scanning Scope: Multi-system clinical competency across:
    • General & Small Parts: Abdominal aorta, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, hernias, testicles/scrotum, thyroid, and breast imaging/cyst aspirations.
    • OB/GYN & Renal: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-trimester scans, fetal anatomical surveys, ovaries, uterus, and transvaginal tracking.
    • Vascular & Procedures: Carotid, upper/lower extremity arterial/venous Doppler studies, and ultrasound guidance for paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fine-needle biopsies.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical hospital sonography experience is required. Community hospital backgrounds are required, and prior Trauma Level I exposure is highly preferred. First-time travel technologists are proudly accepted if they meet the core experience marks!
  • Licensure: Active California State credentials must be verified and in hand at the time of submission (pending state paperwork cannot be accepted).
  • Certifications Required: ARDMS (registered in at least 1 category) and active AHA BLS are strictly required. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and ARRT (R) credentials are highly preferred.
  • Regional Floating: Yes, traveling technologists are expected to float flexibly within their scope to nearby sister facilities or affiliate hospitals to support unexpected network census needs.

📍 Local Distance Pay Rules: Local candidates living within a 50-mile radius of the facility are fully accepted. However, under regional contract parameters, local profiles are subject to an adjusted lower local bill rate. 🏠 Housing Consultation Advisory: Providence compliance requires traveling clinicians to actively research local housing options in the Sonoma County area prior to their start date, as regional vacancy options can be seasonal and limited. 🏖️ Mandatory Pre-Submission RTO & Holiday Policy: Requested time off (RTO) must be explicitly declared at the exact moment of initial profile submittal. To clear regional MSP parameters, clinicians must be scheduled and willing to work at least 2 out of the 3 major upcoming holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year). 📋 Mandatory Pre-Submission System History Quest: Submissions MUST include an explicit response to the following question from the clinician: "Have you ever worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem? If yes, please include location and dates worked." Former permanent staff members must be separated for at least 3 months to return as a contractor. 🔍 Background Vetting Policy: Candidates must fully disclose all historical license adjustments or background items upfront at the time of submittal. Open or unvetted license tracking items will not be approved by compliance. 💻 Non-Billable Orientation Modules: Selected technologists are required to self-complete an average of 16 hours of unbilled facility onboarding modules via Workramp transcripts prior to their clinical start date. Submissions also require 2 professional references covering 1 year of work within the past 3 years.
