Job Overview

• Position Type: Contract (Travel)
• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU Float
• Target Start Date: 07-13-2026
• Shift: Nights (18:45 - 07:15)
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts

• Weekend & Holiday: Every other weekend (minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) plus holiday rotation.

• Facility: Missouri Baptist Medical Center (Short Term Acute Care)
• Location: 3015 North Ballas Road, St. Louis, MO 63131
• EHR System: EPIC (Past Epic experience preferred)
• Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
• Parking: Free parking provided

Extensive Floating & Unit Details

• Primary Assignment: Multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac / Heart & Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID.
  • ICU Ratio: 2:1 for all shifts.
• Secondary Floating: If ICU census is low, RNs will be expected to float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse (Oncology, Neurology, Med/Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart & Vascular, and COVID).
  • Inpatient Floor Ratio: Maximum of 1:3.
• Additional Duties: May float to non-critical care units or be utilized as a patient sitter if needed. Strong, independent nurses are strictly required.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required. No first-time travelers accepted. (See important note below regarding CVICU experience).
• Certifications: * BCLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • Preferred: Chemo, CCRN, ONS, TNCC, CPI
• Required Skills: Vents, IV starts, Telemetry, and Conscious Sedation.
• Preferred Skills: Level 1 Trauma experience, Triage, ICP, and PA lines.
  • Preferred Cardiac Skill Set: Swans (hemodynamic interpretation), IABP, Impella, ECMO, Vasoactive drips, and CRRT.
