Description
PREMIUM SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST CONTRACT – 3x12 DAYS – OR TRANSPLANT SPECIALTY
We are seeking a highly experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for an immediate 13-week travel assignment. Operating within a massive, high-acuity 23-room surgical environment, this position is tailored for elite tech professionals fully capable of scrubbing complex, large open-belly procedures and liver recipient transplants completely independently. Please note: This facility enforces a strict clinical experience rule. First-time travel candidates are welcome to apply, provided they meet all transplant competency requirements.
SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:30 PM). No block scheduling.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours guaranteed weekly.
- On-Call Requirements: On-call coverage is strictly required: 40 to 60 hours of call in a 6-week schedule block, including mandatory holiday rotations based on department needs.
- EMR System: Cerner preferred.
- Surgical Scope & Procedures: Comprehensive mastery of General, Urology, Thoracic, GYN, Ortho, ENT, Plastics, and advanced Transplant tracks (Kidney, Liver, and Pancreas). Regular case mix includes large open-belly surgeries, Whipple procedures, Liver Resections, and Free Flaps.
- Floating Mandate: Float required. Will float to the General OR and potentially to Riley Hospital for Children for pediatric transplant support as needed.
📋 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Hardstop Experience Rules: Minimum 3 years of consecutive clinical experience as an OR Tech [HARDSTOP]. Must possess strong, documented transplant experience within the last 2 years, specifically with actual procedure experience in LIVER TRANSPLANTS [HARDSTOP].
- Pre-Screening Competency Rules: Profile submittals must include explicit answers to these pre-screen questions: 1) Can you scrub liver recipient transplants independently? 2) When was the last time you scrubbed a liver transplant and at which facility? [HARDSTOP]
- Submission Mandate: Please provide 2–3 days of clear interview availability directly upon submission to preserve immediate processing priority.
- Allied Traveler Compliance Clearances: Per health system guidelines, Indiana residents are no longer eligible to sign new contracts at this location for this specialty [HARDSTOP]. Only out-of-state/non-local travel candidates will be considered.
- Certifications Required: Verifiable NBSTSA (CST) certification is strictly required [REQUIRED]. Active AHA BLS [REQUIRED].
