Job Overview

• Position Type: Contract (Travel)
• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery (L&D)
• Target Start Date: 08-03-2026 (Orientation is weekly on Mondays)
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Nights (18:45 - 07:15)

• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week

   

Location & Facility

• Facility: North Alabama Medical Center (LifePoint Health)
• Location: 1701 Veterans Drive, Florence, AL 35630 (Near Huntsville, AL)
• EHR System: Centricity, Meditech
• Dress Code: Ceil Blue Scrubs (No non-compliant colors, slogans, graphics, or inappropriate footwear).

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of L&D experience required.
• Licensure: Active Alabama (AL) or Compact State RN License.
• Certifications: * BLS
  • ACLS or ALS-OB
  • NRP
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
• Core Skills: Must have strong skills in Fetal Monitoring and Assessment, Emergency Response, Postpartum Care, and Time Management.
• Personality Fit: Adaptability, Team Player, Attention to Detail, Stamina, Strong Communication Skills, and Empathy.

Unit Details & Environment

• Unit: 3rd Floor - Labor and Delivery (Cost Center: 70701)
• Unit Size: 9 Beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• Patient Population: Adult (Common diagnoses include Normal Spontaneous Labor, PreTerm Labor, Gestational Hypertension, Preeclampsia, Placenta Previa, Placental Abruption, Fetal Distress, Umbilical Cord Prolapse, and Postpartum Hemorrhage).
• Floating Requirements: Must be willing to float to Postpartum.
