Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist obstetricians during Labor & Delivery surgical procedures, including Cesarean sections (C-sections).
• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms for L&D procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Scrub and assist during operative deliveries.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards throughout procedures.
• Stock operating rooms and labor & delivery rooms with required supplies.
• Clean, disinfect, and prepare rooms and equipment between cases.
• Complete daily equipment and supply checks.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking.
• Support the Labor & Delivery team in maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
• Serve as a hospital safety sitter when the L&D census is low.

Mandatory Experience

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Experience assisting with Cesarean sections (C-sections).
• Experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting.
• Ability to maintain sterile technique and prepare surgical equipment.
• Comfortable working in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit.
• Willingness to work as a Safety Sitter when patient volume is low.
