Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms before surgery.
• Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Establish and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgeons during operations.
• Anticipate surgeon needs to ensure efficient procedures.
• Perform surgical counts with the circulating nurse.
• Handle, label, and transport specimens appropriately.
• Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment.
• Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and restocking.
• Follow infection prevention and aseptic techniques at all times.
• Support the surgical team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
• Participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotations.

 Experience Required:

• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room Surgical Tech experience.
• Travel experience is required (first-time travelers will not be considered).
• Must have recent experience in:
  • General Surgery
  • Gynecology
  • Plastics
  • Urology
  • Orthopedics (including Total Joints & Sports Medicine)
  • Podiatry
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Endoscopy
• Experience with Da Vinci Robotic System and Mako Robot is required/preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Required Certifications

• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Active Surgical Technologist certification:
  • NBSTSA/CST
  • AST
  • NCCT
  • NRST
