Position Overview

• Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab RN
• Location: Smyrna, TN
• Shift: Days | 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday, variable days)
• Hospital Size: 115 beds

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
• Community hospital and/or mixed Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred

Required Skills

Candidates must have experience with:

• Diagnostic Cardiac Catheterizations
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Circulating
• Moderate sedation administration
• STEMI call coverage

Preferred Skills

• Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Special Procedures
• Peripheral/Vascular interventions

Common Procedures

• Left & Right Heart Catheterizations
• PCI (Type A, B1 & selected B2 lesions)
• Rotablator
• CSI Atherectomy
• Shockwave IVL
• Impella insertion/support
• Getinge Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• Boston Scientific Polaris (FFR & IVUS)
• Abbott Illumien FFR

Unit Information

• Cath Lab Ratio: 1:1
• Daily Staffing:
  • 3 Full-Time Cath Lab Techs
  • 2 Full-Time RNs
  • Total daily staffing: 5–6 team members
• Equipment:
  • GE X-ray Systems
  • Alaris Infusion Pumps
• Charting Systems:
  • Merge Hemo
  • Meditech

Call Requirements

• 8 weekday call shifts per month
• Up to 6 weekend call days per month

Floating

RNs may float within Cardiology services only:

• Non-Invasive Cardiology
• CT
• MRI
• Nuclear Medicine

No floating to inpatient hospital units.

Required Certifications

• Active RN License
• BLS
• ARRT or RCIS (per facility requirements)

Dress Code

• Red scrubs (top & bottom)
• OR Black top with Red bottoms
• Ceil Blue scrubs are also acceptable
