Description
Join a welcoming Med Surg team that accepts first-time travelers! This is an excellent opportunity to gain travel experience while caring for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population.
Position Highlights
- Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Self-scheduling
- First-time travelers encouraged to apply
- Weekends as needed
- Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs
Unit Overview
- Adult & Geriatric patients
- 39-bed unit with an average daily census of 30
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
- Primary patient population includes:
- Stroke (CVA) patients
- Post-surgical patients
- 24/7 Telemetry Monitoring Technician available—RNs are not required to interpret dysrhythmias
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Med Surg RN experience
- Active RN License (NM or Compact license accepted pending, must be active before start)
- BLS Certification required
- CPI preferred if applicable
- Experience with Epic electronic medical record system required
