MRI Technologist – Travel Contract (8 Weeks)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for an 8-week travel assignment supporting both a hospital imaging department and an affiliated outpatient imaging center in Springfield, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for an MRI Tech with strong GE scanner experience who is comfortable working independently, starting IVs, and administering contrast.

Schedule

• Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
• Hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekly Call: Every Thursday from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend Call: One to two weekends during the assignment (based on hire date)
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM working
  • On-call: Saturday 12:00 PM through Sunday 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Safely start IVs and administer contrast as required
• Operate GE MRI equipment while following established imaging protocols
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning throughout procedures
• Document exams using Epic EMR and GE PACS
• Collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI experience
• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Previous GE MRI experience required
• Experience starting IVs and administering contrast
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced imaging environment
