Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Telemetry / Neuro / Stroke unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV starts and administer treatments in accordance with physician orders and unit protocols
• Care for neurology and stroke patients, including NIHSS assessments
• Float within the facility and participate in holiday and every-other-weekend rotations as required per contract
• Complete required pre-start modules prior to orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia or compact RN license in hand at time of submittal — no exceptions
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with travel nursing experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR required — no exceptions
• Must pass an EKG/telemetry test with a score of 80% or higher prior to start (one attempt; no remediation available)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patient populations
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills including sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing
• Comfort with higher patient ratios in a fast-paced medical surgical environment.
