Position Summary

Specialty: ICU Registered Nurse
Shift: 3x12 Days (12-hour Day Shifts)
 

Requirements

• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility
• Minimum 2 years of Acute Care ICU experience
• Cerner charting experience required
• Active RN License
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute – NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training)
• BSN highly preferred

ICU Patient Population

The ICU cares for:

• Neurological patients
• Neurosurgical patients
• Medical ICU patients
• Surgical ICU patients
• Pulmonary patients
• Cardiology patients
• Cardiothoracic patients
• Trauma patients

Required ICU Skills & Equipment

Experience with the following is expected:

• Mechanical Ventilators
• Ventriculostomies
• Cardiac Monitoring
• Pulmonary Artery (Swan-Ganz) Catheters
• Arterial Lines
• Central Venous Lines
• PICC Lines
• Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• ECMO / TandemHeart
• Impella
• BIS Monitoring
• Continuous Pulse Oximetry
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Gastric Tubes
• IV Infusion Pumps

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients using advanced life-support equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based care while supporting patients and families.
