Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Telemetry (Tele) unit. The ideal candidate will have recent experience caring for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and treatment for a variety of medical and cardiac conditions. The Tele RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in cardiac rhythm, vital signs, and overall condition.
• Interpret telemetry strips and promptly recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and other clinical changes.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and treatments as prescribed.
• Care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, renal, and other acute medical conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding disease management, medications, cardiac health, and discharge planning.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies, including rapid response and code situations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
• Float to appropriate units based on competency and facility needs, if required.
