🔥 REHAB RN TRAVEL CONTRACT – PREDICTABLE DAY SHIFTS – NAPA VALLEY, CA

 

First Connect Health is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Acute Rehab Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate 13-week travel assignment in breathtaking Napa, California. Operating within a specialized 14-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit with an average daily census of 8 to 10 patients, this department focuses on restoring independence to patients recovering from major medical events. If you are looking for a consistent Monday–Friday daytime routine, balanced 1:5 patient ratios, and a premium Northern California destination, this contract is tailored for you!

 

Please note: First-time travel nurses are proudly accepted if they meet the core rehabilitation experience markers!

 

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $1,985.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $985.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $25.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $36.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 5x8-Hours (07:00 AM - 16:00 PM). No block scheduling available.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours weekly.
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend rotation required.
  • On-Call Requirements: Minimal on-call required, depending entirely on fluctuating patient census lines.
  • EMR Charting System: Epic charting is required.
  • Unit Pacing & Layout: A quiet, structured 7-room, 14-bed unit with a dedicated, highly supportive interdisciplinary network spanning Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, SLP, Respiratory, and Phlebotomy teams.
  • Patient Caseload Profile: Adult and geriatric populations undergoing intensive 3-hour daily therapy regimens for Stroke/CVA, Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, Neurological conditions, complex Orthopedic conditions, and multi-trauma.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital experience. A minimum of 1 full year of dedicated REHAB experience is an absolute clinical HARD STOP. (While the facility prefers seasoned travelers, it will accept first-time travelers with strong rehab skills).
  • Licensure: Active California State RN License must be verified and in hand at submission (pending state paperwork cannot be accepted).
  • Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS certification.
  • Core Nursing Skills: Advanced competency in stroke scale assessments, fall risk prevention, insulin protocols, central line/PICC care, and the operation of specialized mobilization hardware (Golvo, Sera Steady, Roll on).
  • Dress Code: Solid Royal Blue scrubs are mandatory for all inpatient nurses on this unit.

Profiles missing at least 12 months of clear, dedicated acute inpatient rehabilitation or rehab hospital experience on their resume will be instantly auto-rejected. 📍 Local Distance Radius Regulations: The regional parameter is set at a 50-mile radius. Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the Napa campus are accepted, but please note that local profiles are subject to an adjusted lower local bill rate. 🔄 Cross-Functional Floating Requirements: Travelers must maintain a flexible clinical approach. Floating is required, and contractors may be expected to float to Med-Surg (MS) and Orthopedic units based on network census needs or to affiliate regional sister facilities nearby. Refusal to float can lead to immediate termination. 🏖️ Pre-Submission RTO & Holiday Policy Mandates: Requested time off (RTO) must be declared explicitly at the exact moment of initial profile submittal and is strictly limited to no more than 7 days total. Clinicians must also commit to working at least 2 out of the 3 major upcoming system holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year). 📋 Submission Profile Vetting Data: To clear automated compliance filters, submissions must contain the candidate's SSN, DOB, copy of active certifications, and 2 professional supervisor references covering 1 year of recent clinical work within the last 3 years. Onboarding incorporates an average of 16 hours of unbilled facility modules completed pre-start via Workramp transcripts.
