🔥 HIGH-ACUITY TRANSPLANT CST CONTRACT – OUT-OF-STATE TRAVELERS ONLY
First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly specialized, elite Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support a premier abdominal organ transplant surgical program in Indianapolis, Indiana. Operating within a major academic medical center and teaching environment, this program navigates complex, high-acuity cases across 22–23 active surgical suites with an average daily volume of 35 procedures. If you are an expert tech capable of scrubbing complex organ recipient procedures independently and looking for a stable 3x12 day routine, this premium contract is built for you.
Please note: Due to strict regional network policy updates, Indiana state residents are no longer eligible to sign new contracts for this specialty at this location. This position is strictly open to out-of-state residents.
💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE
- Weekly Gross: $1,925.00
- Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,349.00
- Hourly W2 Rate: $16.00/hr
- Overtime Rate: $24.00/hr
📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS
- Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours (07:00 AM - 19:30 PM). No block scheduling available.
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly.
- On-Call Requirements: Yes, 40 to 60 hours of rotational on-call standby is required per 6-week schedule block.
- EMR Charting System: Cerner experience is preferred.
- Advanced Robotics: Direct exposure to the DaVinci XI surgical system.
- Clinical Scope & Case Mix: Providing dedicated, high-level scrubbing for organ transplant recipient procedures. Must demonstrate masterful aseptic technique and instrumentation management across large open belly cases, liver resections, kidney/pancreas transplants, Whipple procedures, free flaps, and complex cancer-related surgical care. General OR, urology, thoracic, and gynecology case support is also incorporated.
🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION
- Experience Hard Stop: Minimum of 2–3 years of acute care hospital operating room experience. Must have strong, documented transplant experience within the last 2 years, with actual recipient procedure experience in LIVER TRANSPLANTS enforced as a strict clinical hard stop.
- Licensure: Active state surgical technologist registration guidelines must be completed prior to contract start.
- Certifications Required: Active national NBSTSA certification and active BCLS (BLS) are mandatory.
- Candidate Pre-Screen Requirement: All applicants must provide explicit answers to the following questions upon applying: 1) Can you scrub liver recipient transplants completely independently? 2) When was the last time you scrubbed a liver transplant, and at which specific hospital facility?
