🔥 ADVANCED SPECIALTY RN CONTRACT – PREDICTABLE DAYS – NO WEEKENDS

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly technical Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Dialysis and Apheresis. Operating within an 8-room specialized pathology lab setting, this position provides care to adult and adolescent populations presenting with specialized diagnoses such as GVHD, BO, and CTCL. If you are looking for an assignment that offers a highly predictable 4x10 day schedule, a dedicated 1:1 patient care ratio, and premium Midwest tax-free stipends, this contract is built for you!

 

Please note: Prior travel nursing experience is strictly required if your primary background is in Apheresis.

 

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $2,000.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,200.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $20.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $30.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours (07:00 AM - 17:30 PM). No scheduled weekend hours!
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours weekly.
  • On-Call Requirements: Rotating on-call standby coverage is required for this unit.
  • EMR Charting System: Cerner charting is required.
  • Elite 1:1 Pacing & Scope: Complete 1:1 clinical care delivery. Must demonstrate strong, independent mastery handling:
    • Apheresis Modalities: Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) / Plasmapheresis, Red Blood Cell Exchange, Photopheresis therapy, blood priming protocols, and post-apheresis care tracking.
    • Dialysis & Access: Setting up and initiating dialysis treatments, post-dialysis blood return, tunneled/non-tunneled catheters, central lines, and ports. Ability to cannulate AV fistulas and AV grafts is highly valued.
    • Special Equipment: Extensive hands-on utilization of the CellEx system array.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years (36 months) of recent clinical experience operating as a Dialysis or Apheresis RN. Solid foundational background managing central lines, ports, and specialized blood filters is strictly mandatory. (Previous charge nurse experience is preferred).
  • Licensure: Active Indiana State RN License MUST be actively in hand at the exact time of initial submittal (pending licenses cannot be accepted).
  • Certifications Required: Active AHA BCLS (BLS) certification MUST be in hand at the time of submission.
  • Education: Nursing degrees must be accredited through the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation.

Submissions must state: "Does this applicant have Plasma Exchange and Red Blood Cell Exchange experience? [Yes/No]" 🔄 Regional Cross-Hospital Floating Policy: Travelers must maintain an adaptable clinical approach. Contractors under this system framework are 100% required to float flexibly to affiliate network regional hospitals nearby to meet census needs. 🗺️ Local Distance Radius Regulations: Indiana state residents are considered local and are accepted for this position under network rules. Eligible local contractors will be presented at the designated in-state rate framework at an adjusted lower bill rate. 🏖️ RTO & Holiday Policy Restrictions: Recruiter proxy auto-approval is strictly limited to a maximum of five (5) days of non-holiday Requested Time Off (RTO). Any larger block requests require direct system intervention. Only 1 single RTO request block is permitted total per contract. Clinicians must also remain fully available to work at least 2 out of the 3 major upcoming holidays. ⏱️ Consecutive Contract Break Guidelines: Former permanent or PRN employees of this network must be away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler. Furthermore, current or past system travelers who have accrued 12 months of cumulative travel employment anywhere within the network must complete a consecutive, single-period break to reset travel eligibility. Out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, while in-state residents require a 180-day break. 📋 Submission Profile Vetting Checklist: Submissions must contain the candidate's verified Social Security Number (SSN), Date of Birth (DOB), 2 professional supervisor references, and copies of active certifications. Background histories must be fully disclosed upfront for review prior to an offer. All final compliance documents are due exactly 10 days before the target start date.
