Job Overview

Position Type: Contract (Travel/Local)
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (Neuro PCU)
Shift: Nights (18:45 - 07:15)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts. Every Other Weekend (EOW) or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block. One holiday required per 13-week contract.
First-Time Travelers: Accepted.
Locals Accepted: Yes (Refer to submittal instructions for radius rules).
EHR System: Epic (Experience is strictly required).
Required Qualifications
Licensure: Active Virginia (VA) or Compact State RN License in hand. (Pending license is accepted only if the candidate currently holds a single-state license from a non-compact state).
Certifications: * BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Required Clinical Skillset
Cardiac & Emergency: Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, responding to Rapid Response/Code teams. Medication administration and cardiac drips (Note: No titration required).
Lines & Infusions: IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care.
Respiratory & General: Nasal cannula, O2 administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions.
