Requirements:

Active RN License
Minimum 2 years of recent Behavioral Health/Psychiatric RN experience preferred
Experience with adult behavioral health patients
Must be competent in dual-diagnosis and chemically dependent patient care
Must be comfortable working with forensic patients
Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification or equivalent Management of Assaultive Patientscertification required prior to start date
Current BLS certification required
Current ACLS certification required

Job Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care on an 11-bed adult behavioral health unit
Complete patient admissions and discharge processes
Perform daily nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
Develop and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments as ordered
Collaborate with multidisciplinary behavioral health teams
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff
Care for patients with psychiatric, substance abuse, and dual-diagnosis conditions
