Description

Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) – Travel Assignment

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10-hour shifts
on-call: Rotating schedule with weeknight and weekend on-call coverage

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical laboratory experience, excellent phlebotomy skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Candidates must be available for rotating weeknight and weekend call.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine and complex laboratory testing following established procedures.
Collect patient specimens, including performing phlebotomy.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
Analyze, interpret, and accurately report laboratory results.
Ensure compliance with laboratory quality assurance and safety standards.
Participate in rotating weeknight and weekend on-call coverage.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent clinical laboratory experience.
Strong phlebotomy skills (required).
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
Current MLS (ASCP) certification or equivalent CLS certification.
