Travel RN – Radiation Oncology

Location: New York, NY 
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Contract Length: 14 Weeks (Through 11/07/2026)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | 37.5 Hours/Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving outpatient radiation oncology treatments.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor patients throughout the course of radiation therapy.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, side effect management, medications, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiation therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized patient care.
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions as ordered.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC Electronic Medical Records.
• Promote patient safety while following evidence-based practice and hospital protocols.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a positive patient experience.
• Assist with patient care coordination, discharge planning, and continuity of care.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN License
• BLS (AHA) Certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent Radiation Oncology experience in an outpatient setting (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Previous EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
