🔥 PREMIUM MED SURG RN CONTRACT – FLEXIBLE DAYS OR NIGHTS (3x12s)

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly adaptive Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Registered Nurse (RN) in Hastings, Nebraska. Operating within a 30-bed all-private room acute care floor with an average daily census of 20 patients, this position offers balanced clinical variety. 💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

• Weekly Gross: $1,945.00
• Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,225.00
• Hourly W2 Rate: $20.00/hr
• Overtime Rate: $30.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: 12-Hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00 or 19:00 - 07:00). Open to both days and nights. No self-scheduling—the department coordinates schedules to fill team gaps but works closely with travelers to accommodate block scheduling as much as possible.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: High-quality care models tracking at a 1:4 to 1:6 distribution, supported generally by 2 to 3 nurse aides on the floor.
• Weekend & Holiday Expectations: Generally rotating every 3rd weekend (flexibility requested based on facility need) and every 3rd holiday. Please expect to work at least one major winter holiday block.
• On-Call Requirements: No mandatory standby requirement. Call is only utilized if a clinician volunteers for a cancellation or requests a scheduled shift off.
• EMR Charting System: Epic.
• Clinical Scope & Case Mix: Comprehensive acute care tracking for diverse patient types. Common diagnoses encompass dementia, post-surgical recovery, falls, influenza, pneumonia, failure to thrive, cancer care, and COVID isolation lines. Drip titration is not required. Telemetry is active on the floor with dedicated monitor techs reading lines.
• Core Competencies: Strong independent tracking of pain management, TPN, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), and advanced wound care. Chest tube management experience is highly preferred, and charge nurse experience is a major plus.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical acute care experience as a Med Surg RN.
• Licensure: Valid Nebraska State Nursing License or a valid Multi-State Compact RN License must be verified and in hand at the exact time of profile submission.
• Certifications Required: Active AHA BLS and NIHSS credentials are strictly mandatory to present to the clinical gate.
• Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs are fully permitted (no patterns or custom designs).
