β° Shift: Day Shift | 0645β1900 (36 hours/week)
ποΈ Schedule: 6-week cycle | Every Other Weekend (EOW) | 75% Holiday Commitment

π Unit & Ratio Details
- Unit Size: 32 Beds (Average Census: 28)
- Standard Ratios: Days: 1:4β6 (Note: Can surge up to 1:7β8 during high-census peaks)
- CNA Ratio: 1:10β11 (up to 1:16 based on staffing)
- Ancillary Support: 24/7 RT, Hospitalists, and Intensivists; dedicated Telemetry Techs, Phlebotomy, and an IV/VAT Team.
- Common Patient Types: Total joint replacements, colon resections, amputations, hip fractures, gallbladder/appendectomies, SBO, NG tubes, and medical overflow.
π Critical Floating Requirements
Please Read Before Applying: This position requires regional flexibility. You must be willing to float to neighboring facilities within Region 3 based on network needs. This includes: Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, and the Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH). Please decline if you are not agreeable to floating.
π οΈ Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience.
- Licensure/Certifications: Active RN License, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Core Skills Required:
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Management of non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone)
- Central line management & PIV starts
- Wound care and drain/tube management
π« Orientation & Time Off
- Orientation: Facility NEO + 2 days of dedicated departmental floor orientation.
- On-Call: Low census call potential (Callback window up to 3:00 PM for day shifts).
- Requested Time Off (RTO): Up to 6 days can be approved (excludes holidays). Note: Approved RTO must be tacked onto the end of the contract to meet total contracted hours.
