🔥 PREMIUM DAY-SHIFT SURGICAL TECH CONTRACT – QUICK START (3x12s)

 

First Connect Health has an immediate 13-week travel opening for a highly precise Certified or Licensed Surgical Technologist (CST/LST) in Vail, Colorado. Operating within an active surgery center framework, this role balances specialized sterile field management with fast-paced room turns. If you are looking for a stable 3x12 daytime routine, premium Mountain region tax-free stipends, and an immediate path to a live clinical review loop, this contract is built for you!

 

Please note: First-time travel surgical technologists are proudly accepted if they meet the baseline clinical experience and certification markers!

 

💰 PRE-CALCULATED PAY PACKAGE

  • Weekly Gross: $1,981.00
  • Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,245.00
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $23.00/hr
  • Overtime Rate: $34.50/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 3x12-Hours. Bypasses rigid block scheduling formats.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 32 regular hours guaranteed weekly. Overtime multipliers activate after 40 hours in a single week.
  • Holiday Coverage Required: No.
  • Clinical Scope & Scope of Practice: Assists during invasive therapeutic and diagnostic surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the strict integrity of a sterile surgical field. Provides proper instrumentation, equipment, and cutting-edge technologies as needed to the surgical team. Functions under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and fully adheres to standard AORN regulations.
  • Case Mix & Tiering: Actively managing or working towards full independent competency with Tier 1 surgical cases across all age-specific populations from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Surgical Flow & Duties: Performs thorough pre-operative checks on packaging integrity, processing, seals, moisture, and sterile indicators. Models effective, timely communication during the standard Time Out Process, including pre-operative briefings and post-operative debriefings. Clean, prep, and safely process instrumentation for terminal serialization. Assists the perioperative team with patient transport, room preparation, and fast-paced room turnovers.

🚨 REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUBMISSION

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent clinical operating room experience as a Surgical Tech.
  • Education/Credentials: Graduate completion of an accredited Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or status as a Licensed Surgical Technologist.
  • Licensure: Valid Colorado State Surgical Technologist License (DORA registration) is required in hand at the exact time of profile submission.
  • Certifications Required: Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is strictly mandatory to clear the portal gate.
