Description
Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) – Days 13 week
Location: Fairfield Medical Center
Shift: Days
Start Date: ASAP
Join a respected healthcare team as a Travel Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech). We're seeking a skilled professional experienced in performing high-quality echocardiograms to support accurate cardiovascular diagnosis and exceptional patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms (2D, M-Mode, Spectral Doppler, and Color Flow Doppler)
- Assist with Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Stress Echo procedures
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Operate and maintain cardiac ultrasound equipment according to departmental standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the cardiovascular team to deliver outstanding patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and quality standards
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Echocardiography, Cardiac Ultrasound, Vascular/Echocardiography, or a related Allied Health program
- ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS credential required (registry eligible candidates may be considered)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Preferred experience with:
- 2D Echo
- M-Mode
- Spectral Doppler
- Color Flow Doppler
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Stress Echocardiography
- One to two years of echocardiography experience preferred
