HOT JOB: L&D RN – 3x12 NIGHTS (FULLERTON, CA)
Sia Hayes at First Connect Health is fast-tracking applications for an experienced Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse. This is a 13-week contract in Southern California. First-time travelers are welcome!
POSITION QUICK-FACTS
- Start Date: ASAP / 07/28/2026 (13 Weeks)
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 | 3x12 Nights (No block schedule guarantees)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly (Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week pay period)
- Unit Ratios: Highly supportive 1:2 patient-to-nurse ratio
THE CLINICAL MATRIX
- The Environment: 320-bed acute care facility. Fast-paced, high-acuity labor, delivery, and triage.
- Core Duties: Labor management, triage, and high-level independent nursing care.
- Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to the Mother-Baby (Postpartum) unit as needed.
- Systems: Epic experience required for clinical charting.
- Scrubs: Royal Blue for general areas; specialized surgical scrubs are provided on-site for the L&D track.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)
- Clinical Mastery: Must be able to perform Sterile Vaginal Exams and Triage completely independently without supervision [HARDSTOP].
- Experience: Minimum 1.5 to 2 years of dedicated acute care L&D experience [HARDSTOP].
- Certifications: Active AWHONN Advanced, ACLS, NRP, and BCLS (AHA) [HARDSTOP].
- Licensure: Active California (CA) RN license. Pending licenses are not accepted.
- Geographic Rule: Must live outside a 50-mile radius for travel contracts (Local contracts available upon request).
- Scheduling: Must be open to working weekends (may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs). RTO must be requested upfront at submission.
