CRITICAL HOT JOB: CVOR RN – FLEXIBLE SHIFTS & CALL (DETROIT, MI)
Sia Hayes at First Connect Health is fast-tracking applications for experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurses. There are 2 open positions for this 13-week contract at Ascension St. John Hospital, flagged as a critical fill with block scheduling available. First-time travelers are welcome!
POSITION QUICK-FACTS
- Shift Options: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s available (All with a strict 06:00 AM start time)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours weekly
- Block Scheduling: Yes, available
- On-Call Mandate: 48 hours of call required per 6-week schedule period, including 1 on-call weekend per month.
- Selection Process: Quick 15-minute phone or MS Teams interview.
THE CLINICAL MATRIX
- The Environment: High-acuity cardiac surgical environment.
- Core Duties: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate quality care for cardiac surgical patients. Formulate effective care plans, document clinical interventions, note patient variances, and lead patient/family teaching.
- Clinical Mastery: Must possess strong professional operating room experience and advanced cardiac scrub proficiency.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)
- Clinical Experience: Dedicated Operating Room (OR) experience and hands-on Cardiac Scrub experience are strictly required.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN licensure issued by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Active AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred.
