Travel RN – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in the PICU.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor critically ill pediatric patients.
- Manage ventilated patients and assist with advanced airway procedures.
- Administer medications, blood products, continuous sedation, vasopressors, and other critical care therapies.
- Care for patients requiring advanced life support technologies, including ECMO, VADs, and CRRT.
- Monitor arterial lines, central venous pressure (CVP), intracranial pressure (ICP), and other invasive hemodynamic devices.
- Care for patients with congenital heart disease, post-cardiac surgery, trauma, neurological disorders, respiratory failure, seizures, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), transplant recovery, and other complex pediatric conditions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC Electronic Medical Records.
- Educate and support patients' families throughout hospitalization while ensuring safe, evidence-based patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (Virginia license pending accepted)
- BLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent PICU experience
- EPIC Electronic Medical Record experience
- Experience caring for ventilated pediatric patients and managing high-acuity critical care cases
