Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Charlottesville, VA
Start Date: 08/03/2026
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using continuous fetal monitoring.
Assess and manage both high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients.
Circulate for Cesarean sections and provide immediate post-operative recovery care.
Administer medications including magnesium sulfate and other obstetric therapies.
Assist with neonatal resuscitation and immediate newborn stabilization.
Perform patient assessments, IV therapy, blood draws, and medication administration.
Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, certified nurse midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and the interdisciplinary care team.
Document patient care accurately using EPIC Electronic Medical Records.
