📍 Location: Akron Campus – Akron, Ohio
🏥 Department: Diagnostic Radiology (1300 74600)
📅 Assignment: 08/02/2026 – 10/31/2026 (13 Weeks)
💰 Pay Rate: Up to $82.50 per hour.
🕒 Schedule: 5 x 8-Hour Day Shifts

Job Description:
Summa Health – Akron Campus is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) to join its Diagnostic Radiology Department at a Level I Trauma Center. This is a high-volume, fast-paced imaging department that provides diagnostic radiography services to emergency, trauma, inpatient, outpatient, and surgical patients.
The ideal candidate will have recent Level I Trauma experience, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging while working collaboratively with Radiologists, Emergency Department physicians, trauma teams, and multidisciplinary staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Provide imaging support for Emergency Department, trauma, inpatient, outpatient, and surgical patients.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure using ALARA principles.
- Properly position patients and select appropriate technical factors to obtain optimal imaging studies.
- Verify patient identity, imaging orders, and clinical history prior to each examination.
- Evaluate image quality and repeat studies when necessary to meet diagnostic standards.
- Assist physicians during specialized or interventional radiology procedures as needed.
- Operate and maintain digital radiography equipment while ensuring equipment quality assurance.
- Document procedures accurately within the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS.
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety, infection prevention, and hospital policies.
- Collaborate effectively with Radiologists, nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff to ensure timely patient care.
- Safely transport and assist patients with mobility limitations while maintaining patient dignity and comfort.
- Respond efficiently in emergency and trauma situations requiring rapid diagnostic imaging.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT (R) Registered Radiologic Technologist (or Registry Eligible)
- Active Ohio Radiographer License (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Radiology/X-Ray experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Ability to perform patient positioning and operate digital radiography equipment
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely
Required Experience:

✅Level I Trauma Center experience (Required) – Must be clearly listed on the resume
