Description

HOT JOB: MED/SURG-TELE / PCU RN – 3x12 DAYS (ROCK ISLAND, IL)

Sia Hayes at First Connect Health is fast-tracking applications for an experienced Cardiac Medical/Surgical-Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse. This is a 13-week contract at a Level 1 Trauma Center with an immediate interview process. First-time travelers are welcome, though prior travel experience is preferred.

POSITION QUICK-FACTS

Shift: 06:30 AM - 19:00 PM | 3x12 Days (Actual floor start time is 06:45 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend is required.
On-Call Mandate: No call required.

THE CLINICAL MATRIX

The Environment: Rock Island Campus, functioning as a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma Center.
Float Requirement: Floating is required. Travelers must be flexible to float within the same clinical discipline across local campuses as needed.
Systems & Charting: Epic EMR.
Core Skills & Devices: Must possess independent clinical competency in managing chest tubes, femstops, tracheostomies, continuous bladder irrigations (CBIs), various drains, and central lines.
Advanced Pharmacology: High comfort level required with monitoring and performing some titration for critical drips, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban.
Holiday Obligation: Responsibility includes working 1 to 2 of the major summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day).

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS (HARDSTOPS)

Experience: Minimum 2 years of dedicated acute care Med/Surg-Tele or PCU experience.
Licensure: Active Illinois (IL) RN state license is required at submission. An Iowa (IA) license will be required upon offer acceptance.
Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications.
Geographic Rule: Must have a permanent taxable address located outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
