5 years Management, Director, or DON acute care experience


BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC and STABLE preferred


Must have a minimum of a BSN or higher
 

Familiar with EMTALA, understanding state and federal regulations, comfortable being hands-on and helping on the floor and in the ER when needed, helping with codes if needed (mixing meds). Understanding of trauma coordination, case management, budget planning/management, familiar with Union Contracts

Soft Skills: comfortable managing different personality types and understanding staff strength/weaknesses, comfortable speaking with providers, comfortable being a reassuring leader

RN: Inpatient 1:4, ER the nurses rotate no one designated as the “ER” nurse

• 2 Nurses per shift 0545-1815 (days), 1745-0615 (nights)
• 1 Midshift nurse 1200-0000 this is to help with coverage at shift ch

Patient population: COPD Exacerbation, Diabetes, Behavioral Health, Chest Pain, URI, UTI, Trauma, Chest Pain, Stroke. All ages

Mostly DON duties of a critical access hospital. Will be “wearing several different hats”!
