We're seeking experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Pediatric CVICU Registered Nurses for an exciting travel opportunity with one of Minnesota's leading children's hospitals. This position offers the chance to care for critically ill pediatric patients while working alongside a highly specialized multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered care to infants, children, and adolescents.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process.
- Care for critically ill pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient outcomes.
- Perform independent nursing functions while carrying out delegated medical responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active Minnesota RN License or Minnesota Temporary RN Permit (license not required at submission but must be obtained before start)
- Current BLS Certification
- Current PALS Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of one of the following:
- PICU experience caring for:
- Pre-operative surgical patients
- Immediate post-operative PICU surgical patients
- Pediatric trauma patients
OR
- Pediatric CVICU experience caring for:
- Pre-operative cardiac surgery patients
- Immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients
- Pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients
- PICU experience caring for:
Assignment Highlights
- 11-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Day and night shift opportunities
- Every other weekend
- No call required
- Local candidates accepted
- Travel experience preferred but not required
