We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at a busy Level I Trauma Center. This opportunity is ideal for OR nurses with extensive trauma experience who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Circulate a wide variety of surgical cases in a Level I Trauma environment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Maintain a sterile surgical environment and adhere to infection prevention standards.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient condition throughout surgery and accurately document care using the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Respond effectively during emergency and trauma surgeries.
• Float to other operating rooms within the health system as needed.
• Participate in weekend, on-call, and holiday coverage based on department needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact License preferred if applicable).
• Current AHA BLS Certification.
• Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience.
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience (minimum one completed travel assignment) is required.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required.
• Ability to independently circulate complex surgical cases, including emergent procedures.
