• Number of Beds: 7 beds
• Number of Staff: Varies on volume, clinical coordinator for all specialty service lines
• Type of Staff:  
  • Rooms are staffed with 1 tech 1 RN or 2 RNs
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: Robotics, Spine, Vascular
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Call Requirements: On-call is required of 1-2 shifts during the week and 1 weekend shift per 4-week period. Must be able to Scrub and a circulator that knows all service lines. Rotating weekends are a possibility.

Typical Hiring Profile

 Must have: (candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role)

•  ACLS, BLS
• 2 years current experience in acute OR setting, ortho, spine and joint replacement experience
• Knee and Hip replacement experience

List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):  

• Joint replacement, ENT, Ortho, Spine, Urology
• Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic Surgery and Plastic Surgery

Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently)

• PALS, CNOR any Charge experience
• RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of care of all patients
• proficient charting, multi-tasking, critical thinker, excellent bedside manner

• OR scrubs provided by the unit
