Description

Nurse: Patient Ratios: Day shift 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6.
- Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS.

- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Stroke, spine surgery, seizure, brain tumor, head injury, any neuroscience, some medical
overflow.

- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have level 1 trauma experience, must have previous travel experience (no first time travelers), must have prior experience working on a dedicated neuro unit.

- Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes

- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin titrated drip based on PTT- must have heparin gtt experience.

Shifts & Scheduling: 12's for nurses, one shift, try to meet requests, will block if it is possible with staffing.
