CT Radiologic Technologist (DRT-CT) — Northern Navajo Medical Center | Shiprock, NM
ABOUT THE ROLE
DT-Trak Consulting, Inc. — a Native American-owned, SBA 8(a) certified federal healthcare staffing firm — is actively recruiting credentialed CT Radiologic Technologists (DRT-CT) for contract placement at Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) in Shiprock, New Mexico.
NNMC is a 60-bed inpatient facility and Level 4 Trauma Center serving the Navajo Nation. The Diagnostic Radiology Department performs over 60,000 imaging studies annually. The facility is currently experiencing a critical DRT-CT vacancy rate exceeding 50% — qualified candidates can start quickly.
This is a federal non-personal services contract position (IHS ISBEE set-aside). You will be employed by DT-Trak and placed at NNMC. All scheduling, credentialing, and HR matters are handled by DT-Trak.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
Base Pay: $48.00/hour
SCA Health & Welfare Fringe: $5.55/hour
Blended Hourly Rate (base + fringe): $53.55/hour
Per Diem (non-taxable, GSA FY2026 CONUS standard — San Juan County, NM):
— Lodging: $110.00/night x 7 nights = $770.00/week
— Meals & Incidentals (M&IE): $68.00/day x 7 days = $476.00/week
— Total Per Diem: $1,246.00/week
One-Time Travel Allowance: $500.00 (paid at assignment start)
TOTAL COMPENSATION SUMMARY
Weekly earnings (40 hrs): $2,142.00 in pay + $1,246.00 per diem = $3,388.00/week
Estimated 6-month total value: ~$88,500
(1,040 hrs x $53.55 + 26 weeks x $1,246 + $500 travel)
Per diem is paid as a non-taxable allowance for qualifying temporary assignments under IRS guidelines. Base pay exceeds the SCA Wage Determination 2015-5445 mandatory floor (Class 12305: $40.72/hr).
SCHEDULE
Primary shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (excluding federal holidays)
On-call coverage: Weeknights (3:30 PM – 7:00 AM), weekends, and federal holidays
On-call response: Must be available to report on-site within 2 hours of notification
Tour configurations: 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts depending on facility need
Assignment length: 6 months, with renewal options available
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform diagnostic CT scanning and plain film radiography for inpatient, outpatient, ED, ICU, and surgical patients
- Provide CT imaging support in emergency and trauma situations consistent with Level 4 Trauma designation
- Support intraoperative and fluoroscopic imaging for surgical cases
- Complete all clinical documentation in the IHS Electronic Health Record before the end of each shift
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, infection control standards, and NNMC quality assurance requirements
- Consult with radiologists, surgeons, and clinical staff on imaging protocols and patient care
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current, valid, unrestricted ARRT registration in Radiography (R) AND Computed Tomography (CT)
- New Mexico state licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to assignment start
- Minimum 2 years of DRT-CT clinical experience within the past 5 years
- Demonstrated competency across trauma, ICU, emergency, and surgical patient populations
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Ability to complete HSPD-12 background investigation and fingerprinting (14–30 day processing time — begin this process early)
- Up-to-date immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B series, Varicella, Td (within 5 years), TB PPD (within 12 months), current influenza
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems (IHS EHR training provided on-site)
- Cultural awareness and respect for Navajo and American Indian/Alaska Native traditions and practices
