Job Title

• Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Night Shifts

Location

• Springfield, IL

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 3 nights per week, 12-hour night shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated hospital
• Administer blood products and IV therapy, including peripheral line care and PICC line management
• Adhere to isolation precautions and ensure patient safety and quality care standards
• Document patient interactions using electronic health records (Cerner)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet patient needs and ensure optimal outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or in application process with estimated time of approval
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical-surgical setting
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross accepted)
• Basic IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing PICC lines and peripheral IV sites
• Knowledge of hospital protocols for isolation and infection control
• Ability to float within scope to different departments as needed.
